Following a public tender held by the Swedish Defence Material Administration, we were selected as the Swedish Armed Forces’ communication agency in the spring of 2014. This is a broad brief that means that Make Your Mark should be able to produce and deliver a variety of content for a raft of different channels, including articles, layout, text editing, re-design, film/web TV, regular general content production and concept development.
To date, Make Your Mark has produced material for several of the Swedish Armed Forces channels. We have supplied text and translations for different elements of the authority’s website on an ongoing basis. We have also delivered a memorial booklet honouring the FS26 mission in Afghanistan.
Make Your Mark has also completed a comprehensive re-design of the Swedish Armed Forces’ personnel magazine, Försvarets Forum, and has continued to work with the form of the magazine since then. Försvarets Forum won the 2015 Guldbladet for best personnel/internal magazine, and silver at the international Content Marketing Awards (CMA) in London the same year. In 2016, Försvarets Forum took gold at the Pearl Awards in New York.
Since December 2016 Försvarets Forum has also been available on mobile. Every edition is published in an app, which means that employees and others are able to read the magazine whenever and wherever they are.
Another project with which Make Your Mark is involved is the digital history initiative that was launched in the winter of 2016/17. This encompasses a new section on forsvarsmakten.se, where, together with Swedish Armed Forces’ communications department, we relate the story of Sweden’s ‘total defence’ concept during the post-war period. The target group are interested members of the public. The site is made up of newly produced text and images as well as archive images and film. A new series of films was also produced to tie in with the launch.
